Music Selection Philosophy

Capturing The Heart of America, in Music

– Patriotism – Family – God – Country – Service to Others – Peace through Strength – Hard Work – Industry, Business, and Entrepreneurship – American History – American Liberty – Respect and Love for Our Fellow Americans – Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness –

The very values that were once common to most Americans and its very definition, are now under serious attack and being undermined by many in the common culture and public square. If we don’t stand up for them and teach what it is to be a true American, then we will not only lose generations, we will lose our own liberty and its flame as a beacon to the world.

‘Americana’ means American Culture. While some may equate this with a particular style of country-folk music, our use is wider. We attempt to draw from the waters of a broad range of Americans, music genres, sub-cultures and ethnic groups. We then select songs based upon lyrics that deal with common issues, problems, struggles, and promote the common American values of love for God, love for family, etc.

Our Rules & Standards

R-E-S-P-E-C-T | Respect for others is paramount, even if they are political opponents. Jesus taught: Treat others the way you want to be treated.
LANGUAGE | No hard profanity is allowed. Infrequent use of ‘shit,’ ‘dang,’ ‘damn,’ and other similar light slang is allowed on a limited basis.
ALCOHOL | Beer mentions in songs are allowed, but not being drunk. Hard alcohol mentions are in some songs, but are infrequent and kept to a minimum.
SEXUAL TOPICS | Proper respect for women is a priority. Marriage promoted. Showing of excessive ‘skin’ is not allowed. No ‘sexualization’ focuses are allowed.
CRIME | Promotion of crime is never allowed.
DRUGS | Use, No. A few songs do contain the topic of recovery from drug or alcohol addition, and may contain a few associated images.

God and The American Spirit of Liberty

A part of the true American Spirit of Liberty is a strong faith in the God of Israel (God of the Bible), because it is from there that our liberties are fixed and given, not by man or government, but by God himself to all mankind, which are permanent and never-changing.

While not every patriot is a strong Christian believer or even a believer at all, there is a remarkable and clear correlation to the strength of one’s active faith and the strength of one’s patriotism and concern for the well-being, respect, and liberty of your neighbors. This is easily summarized by Jesus (Yeshua) in “Love Your Neighbor as Yourself.”- Matthew 22:36-40. The natural and greatest passions that arise for liberty, truth, and justice for all mankind clearly come out of those who have a deeply rooted faith and relationship with Jesus (Yeshua).

For the Cause of Liberty, Equality, and Justice – these “SELF-EVIDENT TRUTHS” are known by and naturally supported by all people around the world, because God, in our creation and design, has built certain basic understandings and truths into every single human being. Not every Patriot is a Christian and it does not take a Christian faith to be one because the Cause of Liberty is common to all mankind. That said, the American experiment in securing the rights of all people was uniquely built by Christians with this clear foundational component: American Liberty is directly connected to the civic promotion of the ‘general principles of Christianity’ in how we are to conduct ourselves with one another in an open, honest, just, and equitable manner. If you remove this from the public arena, then you remove the foundation of liberty and become easily subject to the whims of tyrants.
